A visit to Nara Inlet is not complete without venturing further down to the end of the inlet. Here you will find a magical fresh-water rock pool with a refreshing waterfall that seasonally flows in the wetter summer months. However, this natural waterfall only flows best during January, February and March.

Embark on a fascinating cultural journey to the site of the caves. The initial walk starts from the beach and heads up the stairs for a short distance. Once at the top of the brief bushwalk, there is a viewing platform at the cave’s entrance. Get ready to be captivated by the many Ngaro rock art, middens and the historical stories they reveal.

The Ngaro rock art decorating this once-hidden cave marks one of the oldest Indigenous sites on Australia’s east coast.
