The Nara Inlet caves and waterfall experience is a unique cruising tour that departs and returns from Hamilton Island Marina. Nara Inlet is nestled in the southeast end of Whitsundays Hook Island. This secluded bay is well known for its calm tranquil waters that reflect the dense forestry that covers the island’s steep hills.

Within the hills of the inlet is the Ngaro cultural site has caves with ancient rock wall paintings and interactive displays where you can learn about the history of the Ngaro Aboriginal people. Press the many buttons provided to hear all about their history at Hook Island.

A visit to Nara Inlet is not complete without venturing further down to the end of the inlet. Here you will find a magical fresh-water rock pool with a refreshing waterfall that seasonally flows in the wetter summer months. However, this natural waterfall only flows best during January, February and March.

Topnotch also highly recommends indulging with a refreshing swim to cool down whilst sipping your favourite holiday beverage.
